Children's Day Success!

The Casias Ministry would like to thank all those who made Children's Day 2013 a great success. We had the opportunity to give honor to Jesus Christ with over 250 in attendance and 150 guests! Estimados vecinos

Este próximo domingo 28 de Abril tendremos nuestro festejo del día del niño esperando serles de ánimo y ayuda promoviendo el bien para los niños y jóvenes de estas comunidades, especialmente a nuestros niños santiaguenses.

Es nuestro deseo extender a todos uds la cordial invitación a participar en nuestra campaña que tendrá lugar en la iglesia a las 10 de la mañana, tendremos una obra de teatro con muppets para los niños, alimentos al terminar el servicio y un par de inflables que pondremos en la parte frontal de nuestro auditorio.

De la misma manera y de antemano les agradezco su siempre atenta participación y paciencia con nuestros visitantes, esperamos con gozo poder atenderles y recibirlos ese día, para poder disfrutar juntos los beneficios que conlleva tenernos unos a otros.

LETTER TO THE NEIGHBORS

Dear neighbors,

This coming Sunday, April 28th, we will have our Children's Day celebration at church. It will be a time of encouragement and support by promoting the good qualities of the young people in our communities, especially our children Santiaguenses.

We wish to extend a kind invitation to all our neighbors to participate in our campaign, which is to be held in the church at 10 am. At the end of the service, we will have a play with muppets for the children, food and a couple of inflatable jumpers.

We thank and joyfully welcome our visitors in advance. We look forward to being of service to you and fellowshipping with our neighbors.

CHILDRENS DAY--Share in the blessings!

On April 28th, Primera Iglesia Bautista Del Cercado will again be celebrating Childrens Day ( DIA DEL NINO ) in Mexico. This is a Mexican national holiday that celebrates the Children of Mexico. Above are a few pictures of last year's successful celebration of Childrens Day at La Primera Iglesia Bautista Del Cercado. We brought children to church for a special service with a message directed to them and we also gave away toys and played fun games like the traditional Pinata. This holiday gives us the wonderful opportunity to bring children to Church, share the Gospel with them, and also try to reach their parents and family. It is an awesome ministry that you too can be a part of by sending toys that we can give to them. You may also donate money that can help with this event and other needs. If you are sending toys, please send them as early as possible, so that we can arrange a pick up trip from Monterrey, Mexico to Pharr, Texas. We will get the toys picked up and to our Churches in El Cercado, Nuevo Leon by April 28th.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

Ya han pasado 3 días de nuestros clubes bíblicos y Dios a sido bueno con nosotros a pesar de las inclemencias del clima que en días pasados y hasta el día de hoy no ha dejado de llover y hacer frio, nuestras asistencias de niños que nos han acompañado en los clubes son de 100 diferentes niños en cada día y 80 salvos nos quedan 3 días más de eventos para los niños serrando el domingo con un evento especial en la iglesia. ~ Pastor Gustavo Perales

We are 3 days into our vacation bible school, and despite the weather (non-stop raining & cold), God has been good to us. We have had over 100 different children in each of the 3 days with 80 children saved so far! The Vacation Bible school will wrap up with a special event at church on Sunday.

ANSWERED PRAYERS!

Another answer to prayer! God has touched the hearts of a U.S. based Ministry, as well as a business owner, to donate a Van to the Casias Ministry that will be used for La Primera Iglesia Bautista Del Cercado. Our only cost was to get it to Mexico and paying for the import fee so it could be legalized as a Mexican Vehicle. This 2004, twelve passenger van, is a much needed vehicle since the other two vehicles that are being used by by the church are older and in one case can only be used for short distances. We are seeing this Church grow not only in numbers but also grow in Christ as the church has overcome many challenges since the murders of John and Wanda Casias who founded the church almost 30 years ago. We ask for your continued prayers for the needs of the Ministry as it continues to grow due to your continued support.

A MESSAGE FROM YOUR MINISTRY IN MEXICO
First of all, we want to thank all of you for your prayers and support, which have helped the Casias Ministry flourish, despite the enemy's efforts to destroy what God is doing in Mexico through the work founded by John and Wanda Casias almost thirty years ago. Souls are being saved and baptized, and families are returning to their church, La Primera Iglesia Bautista Del Cercado. It's an incredible thing to see and we invite you to visit the Ministry so you too can be blessed by what God is doing.

The Casias family and Ministry has dealt with many challenges on both sides of the border since the murders of John and Wanda Casias on January 31, 2012. We have patiently waited for God's guidance towards support for the Ministry. Although you have only been able to support the Ministry through prayer, God has continued to meet the needs. The Ministry still has needs, however, and through the sending Church, you can now help support it. The sending Church is Pomerado Road Baptist Church out of San Diego, California. Our desire has been to preserve and grow the work started by John and Wanda Casias in 1983. God has blessed the Ministry and La Primera Iglesia Bautista Del Cercado, pastored by Pastor Gustavo Perales since March of 2012. Our Faith has grown and we thank god for his blessings.

We are blessed to have seen over 500 people come to know Christ in the last year, including Ramiro Marroquin, who had been witnessed to by John Casias for 26 years. Ramiro Marroquin passed away on February 27, 2013. The past year also brought the baptisms of 20 people through La Primera Iglesia Bautista Del Cercado. We have celebrated five special events and the anniversary where approximately 400 people attended and participated. Fifteen different pastors and preachers from different parts of the Republic of mexico have come as guest preachers to the Church. Since January 1, 2013 we have had over 100 new people come and visit the church. We can see God's Blessings in chhurch families as they grow in Christ while the Church as a whole continues to grow in the community of El Cercado Santiago NL Mexico. We ask for your continued support through prayer and your financial support for the needs of the Ministry. We are praying that God provides a piano for La Primera Iglesia Bautista Del Cercado, since the piano that is now being used is in irreparable condition.

PLEASE PRAY FOR SANTIAGO, NL. MEXICO
Santiago is currently suffering one of the most fearsome fires in recent history that has destroyed hundreds of acres of mountainous property that surrounds the tow which is home to Primera Iglesia Bautista Del Cercado. Over 500 state and government personnel as well as hundred of volunteers are currently fighting this fire and attempting to save homes, livestock and property. We know that God is in control but we ask that you pray for the people of this community as we deal with this tragedy. Here are some pictures from within out town taken last night.

Felices Fiestas y un muy prospero año nuevo

Son nuestros deseos para ustedes nuestros hermanos, amigos y compañeros de oración.

Por la gracia de Dios hemos tenido un año lleno de retos, lamentables sucesos y muchas victorias.

Que podría decir de lo que sucedió al inicio del año, donde la mano del enemigo toco la familia de nuestros hermanos Casias y que sin lugar a duda fue un golpe durísimo para nuestra iglesia, un hecho sin precedentes pero consientes que nada sucede sin la voluntad de Dios.

Ahora a finales de éste 2012 y como ya lo he dicho antes SOLO POR LA GRACIA DE DIOS, terminamos animados, inspirados y deseando iniciar un nuevo año con proyectos que sobrepasan nuestra capacidad.

Y qué decir de los hijos de los hermanos Casias quienes han sido un BALUARTE para éste ministerio; Constantes, fieles, animadores y además que oran por el ministerio que hoy en día a sobresalido y ha logrado nuevas metas, sin dejar de lado el plan 2013 que están por iniciar y que llenos de ilusiones deseamos servir a nuestro buen Dios.

Parte de nuestros planes (los cuales rogamos pongan en sus oraciones) son:

1. Una Conferencia de la Familia.
2. Un Rally de integración familiar. (Clubes bíblicos)
3. Una Conferencia Misionera.
4. El Aniversario de nuestra Iglesia.
Y parte de nuestro deseo es hacer CRECER el ministerio de Rutas, para traer a más personas a nuestra iglesia, Nuestro Deseo es poder proveer una Van a cada diferente colonia (la meta principal son 10 van), con una familia de CRISTIANOS comprometidos a Trabajar, visitar, ganar almas y traer a nuevos creyentes a nuestra iglesia.

Y poder aumentar el número de creyentes que tienen el deseo de venir pero no las posibilidades; El Hno Shawn y su servidor hemos estado orando y trabajando en éste proyecto y vemos que cada vez más se acerca éste sueño a nuestra iglesia, quienes sin dudar tenemos la convicción de que éste 2013 estará lleno de victorias como las hubo en el 2012 a pesar de las tremendas pruebas que vivieron a la vida de nuestros hermanos.

Tengo tantas cosas que contar pero dejemos que las fotografías y los eventos hablen por si solos, les pido de sus oraciones y estaremos actualizando la pagina para que puedan ver el progreso del ministerio y si Dios les pone en su corazón apoyarnos se los agradeceríamos.

We hope you had a Merry Christmas and we hope you have a very prosperous New Year from Primera Iglesia Bautista Del Cercado Nuevo Leon Mexico.

We give thanks to God for the year full of challenges, acts and victories that this year has brought us.

No words can describe what it has meant to us regarding what happened at the beginning of this year when the enemy attacked our brothers in Christ , the Casias Family. This has with no doubt been very difficult for our Church. It has been unprecedented however we know that God is in control and nothing happens that is not his WILL.

Now at the end of 2012 and ONLY BY THE GRACE OF GOD, we are inspired and hopeful to begin this NEW YEAR with projects that we are faithful that God will help us accomplish.

I must mention how strong the Casias Family has been in helping the continuance of this Ministry. They have been faithful, inspiring and prayerful for this Ministry which has not only survived but has overcome many challenges without compromising our goals and plans for the growth of the ministry in 2013.

HERE ARE SOME OF OUR PLANS FOR 2013 WE ASK YOU TO PRAY FOR

1. A Family Conference
2. A Bible Club Rally dedicated to Family Values
3. A Mission Conference for missionaries our church supports and desires to continue to support.
4. Our 27th Anniversary

We also want to grow our Bus Route. We hope to have 10 Vans or busses so we can reach 10 surrounding communities with families that have committed to witness, visit and work with the people in these areas to bring them to Christ and Church. Currently we only have one minibus and a suburban left that we are using to bring people to our services.

We hope God uses us to bring new people to Church who wish to come however may not have the ability due to transportation. The Children of John and Wanda Casias as well as myself have been praying for this Bus Ministry. Without a doubt, we have in our heart and our convictions that God will provide in 2013 that this Ministry will be victorious just as 2012 has proven itself victorious despite the challenges our Brothers in Christ, the Casias Family has met.

I have so many things I would like to update you with regarding this Ministry and our Church Primera Iglesia Bautista Del Cercado however I hope our updates, photos and your possible visit will keep you apprised of the fruits of your service through prayer here in Mexico.

I wish to thank the children of John and Wanda Casias for their continued support in helping to grow this Ministry.

Today Primera Iglesia Bautista del Cercado celebrated a special Christmas service for children. Pastor Gustavo Perales provided a special worship service, catered for children to know Christ, as well as the Church. We pray they may continue to come each week and that they may grow to learn the Word of God. Especially now, at a time that Jesus is so very much needed in this community. Progress is being made in Santiago where John and Wanda Casias founded the First Baptist Church of El Cercado and where the church and Ministry continue to reach the Mexican people they so much loved. In November the new PRI political party have taken office and have an ambitious plan to grow law enforcement for public safety as well as community activities that grow family values. We ask you to pray for these new officials and pray that the First Baptist Church will complement their efforts by bringing God into the daily lives of this town. We know that with Christ everything is possible and their are no forces greater than God who is our hope for the Mexican people. Thank you for your continued prayers.

First Baptist Church of El Cercado (Primera Iglesia Del Cercado) celebrated it's 26th Anniversary this past Saturday, October 20th. We lost count with over 300 people attending, including the Mayor and the Mayor Elect! They both made wonderful speeches proclaiming that this Church still remained a pillar in the community, despite the challenges it had faced since the recent murders of both it's founders, John and Wanda Casias, on January 31, 2012. The people from the Church did an incredible job preparing food and providing live video feed on both floors of the church, including a live video feed outside. This allowed everyone who could no longer enter the packed church, to still intimately be a part of the service and celebration. The Pastor's brother, Leopoldo Perales, visited from Guadalajara and provided the sermon. Pastor Alfonso Galvan, who long ago was a part in the establishing of Primera Iglesia Bautista (while being mentored by John and Wanda Casias), also attended with some members of his own congregation. He now Pastors a church he had founded, about an hour away.

On a personal note...Despite the death of our dear parents, John & Wanda, and seeing all the challenges the Ministry has faced since their deaths, it was great to see their service for the Lord still continues. Their 30 years of blessed labor continues to prosper and yield fruit. We personally thank all of you who have been a part of this Ministry through your prayers and support. Our faith continues to grow as we see the miracles occuring in our own lives and in the lives of others. ~The Casias Family
